Sizing

Sizing when upcycling– more an art than a science!!  It's the Ruffle Kerfuffle shirts that have gone through the largest transformation  --  all boxy bubble hoodie sweatshirts are oversized, but with the upcycled designs and fabrics worked onto new sweatshirts. So while individual Ruffle Kerfuffle shirts may contain original size tags, each one has been  “reworked” into something new. Just keep in mind that the original shaping of a men’s button-down shirt is still relatively applicable, but in general, the cut is now a cropped length, with a boxy fit.  But how YOU style it is a no-judgement zone choice!  Maybe "as-is", maybe tucked in at the waist, maybe tied at the waist, maybe thrown over a t-shirt as a jaunty jacket And it may be a good idea to size up if you are on the fence. Make note of the specifics listed regarding each shirt -- both sizing and character traits -- as once you claim it, it’s yours to love! Each new creation listing will show the measurement of width (armpit to armpit) and the length (shoulder to bottom hem). 

A Ruffle Kerfuffle general guideline is  always helpful!  So using width (armpit to armpit) of the new wearable art piece:

XS -- 18 inches and less

S --  18-19 inches

M -- 19-21 inches

L --  21-23 inches

XL -- 23-24 inches
